My story continued to Santa Barbara in California. I love the Films and after seeing everything from Hollywood I really liked to experience California with my own eyes and Los Angeles. The home to all the big actress and actors. In the end I found it was really different from how the TV portraits it but hey everything is a knowledge.
My Mum and I found you can travel and do a Study Abroad year, at Santa Monica College or Santa Barbara College. Santa Barbara was one hour north of LA and gave the impression of being safer as a smaller town.
I think we were around 10 international students living under one roof. I was a really fun time. A lot of beer pong, college parties and a lot of different people to get to know.
The first semester I choose the courses; Film studies, Acting Infront of Camera, English and Spanish-The second semester I choose Photography, Digital Image, Surfing and Beach Volleyball.
During the Christmas break me and two friends flew to Honolulu, Hawaii. I really loved the island spirit. The warm sea, the jungle and beautiful beaches. I love to go back one day and explore some more islands and do a trip out in the jungle.
I spent on year in Santa Barbara and I think it’s the year in my life I learned the most, so far😉 All the courses and everything at college, interact with people from different cultures, social gatherings and new life experience. I meet a lot of friends I will remember forever.
Anyone who thinking of going somewhere to study abroad. It is scary but do it! You will develop as a person and see so many cool new stuffs.
